Humanitarian Project 2026 for Flood-Affected Children in Sri Lanka. Empowering Young Minds, Inspiring Hope and Resilience
Tranquil Path Retreat Centre UK continues to actively fulfil its core objectives by practicing generosity, compassion, and mindful service. Through our 2026 humanitarian project for flood-affected children in Sri Lanka, we transformed kindness into action—supporting education, emotional wellbeing, and hope for the future. This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to serving communities in need through meaningful, values-driven humanitarian work.

In 2026, through the generous fundraising efforts of Tranquil Path Retreat Centre UK, a total of £1,100 was raised to support children affected by the recent floods in Sri Lanka. We carefully selected severely impacted areas in the Central Province, with a special focus on the Kothmale region, reaching over 20 schools. In addition, support was extended beyond the Central Province to another flood-affected area at Pannala National School.
This humanitarian project was carried out under the guidance and coordination of relevant government authorities, with Manusath Derana TV supporting the initiative as our valued media partner. Through this collective effort, more than 3,000 children benefited from our programmes.
As part of direct educational support, 60 severely flood-affected children received complete school stationery packs. Our motivational programmes were thoughtfully designed to uplift and heal young minds and included music therapy, counselling sessions, memory-enhancing activities, and engaging recreational components, helping children relax, rebuild confidence, and rediscover joy during a difficult time.
Guided by our humanitarian theme, “Empowering Young Minds, Inspiring Hope and Resilience,” this project reflects the core values and objectives of Tranquil Path Retreat Centre UK, grounded in generosity and compassion for those in need.
Here are some snapshots from our overall humanitarian project, capturing moments of learning, healing, and renewed hope.
We extend our deepest gratitude to our devotees, donors, volunteers, and all those who supported and contributed to the success of this 2026 humanitarian project. Your kindness made a meaningful and lasting difference in the lives of many children.

Tranquil Path Retreat Centre Successfully Complete Online Webinar Series | 2025

Commemorating the International Vesak celebration, the Tranquil Path Retreat Centre United Kingdom is also known as The Research Centre of Pali & Buddhist Studies in the UK (RCPBS-UK), stands as one of the foremost Buddha Dhamma education centers in the UK. We have been working with Buddhist scholars and other faiths in the UK and around the world to explore the utility of Buddha Dhamma for the wellbeing, sustainability, and contentment of the world.
In 2025, our theme was “With Compassionate Hearts, Bringing Healing to a Troubled World.” Based on this theme, we organized online webinars specifically designed for all age groups.
Today’s world moves at a rapid pace, often ignoring ethical conduct in pursuit of individual goals. Due to excessive expectations, people miss out on satisfaction and become entangled both internally and externally, resulting in devastating physical and mental consequences. Attitudes continue to deteriorate as human qualities diminish.
We planned these sessions to demonstrate how Buddha Dhamma can assist in solving these issues, helping people overcome such problems and encouraging them to recognize the value of being born human—to develop compassionate hearts and loving-kindness to nourish others in a humanistic way.
Outstanding Success Across Three Sessions
We are delighted to announce that all three online webinars concluded successfully. Each session welcomed more than 50 participants, not only from the UK but also from several overseas locations. Every session was absolutely fascinating and interactive, with audiences actively engaging throughout.
We are honored to have organized such wonderful and practical online webinars focused on healing the mind and bringing happiness to people. The response has been overwhelmingly positive, demonstrating the universal appeal of Buddha Dhamma in addressing contemporary challenges.
Watch the Sessions
Here are some snapshots from each session. You can watch our complete online webinars on our YouTube channel, allowing you to revisit these transformative teachings at your convenience.
These successful webinars represent our ongoing commitment to making Buddha Dhamma accessible to all, fostering compassionate hearts in our troubled world.
